Grok Imagine prompt generator

Build a properly structured Grok Imagine prompt in seconds. Pick a subject, lighting, style and camera — the generator assembles them in the order the Aurora model responds to best, and Photorealism mode adds the negative terms that stop Grok defaulting to anime.

Free, no sign-up, no limits — it runs entirely in your browser.

The Grok Imagine prompt formula

Grok Imagine rewards structure far more than clever wording. Prompts that name all six components consistently beat vague one-liners, because each part gives the model a separate decision to anchor on:

  1. 1Subjectwho or what, with specific distinguishing detail
  2. 2Settingwhere the scene takes place
  3. 3Lightingthe single biggest driver of perceived quality
  4. 4Stylea photographic, cinematic or illustrative anchor
  5. 5Technicalcamera body, lens, depth of field
  6. 6Quality + negativesdetail modifiers, then what to exclude

How to stop Grok Imagine producing anime

This is the most common complaint about Aurora: you ask for a photograph and get a stylised illustration. It is almost always a prompting problem, not a model limit. Photorealism mode applies all three fixes at once:

  • Leads with Photorealistic photograph of… instead of a bare subject.
  • Adds real-world cues — visible skin texture, natural imperfections, slight film grain — which push the model away from clean illustration.
  • Appends explicit negatives: not anime, not illustration, not 3D render, no CGI.

Words like “beautiful”, “perfect” and “flawless” tend to trigger the stylised look — describe real light and real texture instead.

Why this tool has no AI in it

Deliberately. A good prompt is a proven recipe, not an act of invention — so the generator composes from a curated library of modifiers rather than calling a model. That makes it instant, perfectly consistent, free forever, and impossible to rate-limit. A language model would be less reliable at reproducing a formula that already works.

Instant

No API round-trip — the prompt rebuilds as you type.

Private

Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Consistent

The same choices always produce the same prompt.

Where to set resolution, duration and aspect ratio

Grok Imagine takes these from buttons in its own composer, not from the prompt text — which is why the generator tells you which aspect ratio to pick rather than writing it into the prompt. Choose Image or Video first, then the ratio, then Speed or Quality mode. Quality mode publishes up to four images per prompt, so it is usually the better use of a paid generation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Grok Imagine prompt generator free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up and no limits. It runs entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to rate-limit and no account required.
Does it use AI to write the prompts?
No, and that is deliberate. It composes prompts from a curated library of proven modifiers using the structure Aurora responds to. That makes results consistent and instant — an AI would be less reliable at reproducing a known-good formula.
How do I stop Grok Imagine from making everything look like anime?
Turn on Photorealism mode. It prefixes the prompt with "Photorealistic photograph of", adds skin-texture and film-grain cues, and appends the negative terms "not anime, not illustration, not 3D render, no CGI" — the single most effective fix for anime drift.
What is the best Grok Imagine prompt structure?
Subject + Setting + Lighting + Style + Camera and technical details + Quality modifiers, with negative terms last. Prompts that hit all six parts consistently beat vague one-liners, and the generator assembles them in that order for you.
Where do I set the aspect ratio?
In Grok’s own toolbar, not in the prompt text. Grok Imagine takes aspect ratio from a button in the composer, so the generator shows you which ratio to pick rather than adding it to the prompt.
Do I need a paid Grok plan to use these prompts?
To generate images you do — since March 19, 2026, Grok Imagine requires X Premium or SuperGrok. The prompt generator itself is free to use regardless, and building strong prompts before you spend quota is exactly how you get more from a paid plan.

Built your prompts? Run them all in one batch.

Grok Automate queues your whole prompt list on grok.com/imagine, retries failures, and auto-downloads every result into dated folders — so a browser hiccup never costs you a paid generation.
